INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA - Dow AgroSciences' growth equation and staying on its current growth course was the focus of a presentation to investors made by Antonio Galindez, president and CEO of Dow AgroSciences. Galindez spoke to investors at the Goldman Sachs 15th Annual Agricultural Biotech Forum in New York City. At the conference, Galindez reinforced the company's commitment to technology and innovation.

A key part of the company's growth equation is staying the course of its current strategy. "There has never been a more exciting time to be in agriculture," said Galindez. Dow AgroSciences plans to bring new value to modern agriculture by using a distinctive combination of innovation and science to create new solutions.

Dow AgroSciences' ag chemical pipeline is full with high-value solutions and proprietary formulations for the next 10 years. Sulfoxaflor, a new insecticide in the pipeline, is on track to be launched in 2012, pending regulatory approval. Sulfoxaflor was cited as an example of an innovative product that meets pressing grower needs. It will address a $2 billion market segment where needs are currently unmet by a biotechnology solution.

As a technology-driven company, another important element of Dow AgroSciences' growth equation is to rapidly advance game-changing biotechnology solutions such as SmartStax(R). SmartStax was launched in 2010 with great results for Dow AgroSciences and the entire seed industry, setting up for growth in 2011 and beyond.

Dow AgroSciences' SmartStax(R) Refuge Advanced(TM) to be launched in 2012 will accelerate the SmartStax technology and be the first true, complete blended refuge available to U.S. corn growers with 5 percent refuge blended in the bag with 95 percent SmartStax.

The next innovation to market addressing key customer needs will be Dow AgroSciences Herbicide Tolerant Trait Technology. This weed control system will enable exceptional weed control by partnering with and improving glyphosate-tolerant cropping systems to offer growers unsurpassed flexibility, convenience and value. The company announced a new herbicide aspect of this weed control system, as it has submitted 2,4-D choline to the U.S. EPA for registration. Unlike anything previously available, this product, combined with formulation technology, application methods and enhanced manufacturing processes, will provide many benefits.

A final element of the growth equation is the considerable new investment being made by the company which will be highly leveraged based on a track record of innovation. This is showcased by awards and honors as Dow AgroSciences won Best New Crop Protection Product award from Agrow and SmartStax was named new product of the year by industry publications.

"We are delivering on our growth strategy and staying the course on our strategy," Galindez said. "We are in a great position to deliver value for Dow, and are very excited about the future."
