Delavan Ag Pumps, a 60-year plus company, has been focused on a steady drum beat of improvements since 2011. The company has invested upwards of $300,000.00 in new tooling, NSF Certification and a variety of marketing investments designed to move the company forward. The certification means that NSF has reviewed the manufacturing process and independently determined that the final products comply with specific standards for safety, quality and performance.

This investment has been critical for the company as it continues to aggressively compete in the broader agricultural market, a segment known historically for stiff competition, noted  Annie Shand, Delavan’s operations manager. The investment in additional tooling creates a production opportunity to keep up with demand for Delavan’s growing product lines that includes diaphragm pumps, roller pumps, flex pumps, turbine pumps and hydraulics.

The company reports sales have been brisk and are projected for an upward trajectory through 2015. The NSF Certification represents a significant milestone for the company as further company growth warranted NSF Certification; other certifications are anticipated in the future, explained Shand.

The company also bolstered its tradeshow appearances with a variety of marketing investments to expand national recognition. The company headquarters is in Minneapolis.

“We are excited about the changes we have implemented over the last several years,” Shand said. “We are poised for some exciting growth in the near future and this investment will certainly pay for itself many times over.”
