SEATTLE -- The Cotton Board has selected Trumba Corporation's Trumba(R) Connect to increase awareness of local and national events and communicate with cotton industry organizations.

Trumba Connect enables organizations to effectively publish and promote events online and create an interactive, two-way communications vehicle between themselves and their customers.

The Cotton Board is a centralized point of contact for cotton industry events, and Trumba Connect enables site visitors to search for events, add them to their personal calendars, and send them to other organizations. It also allows visitors to have reminders sent via e-mail, text message or RSS feeds.

"The Cotton Board's mission is to keep U.S. producers and importers of cotton informed on the innovative developments stemming from the Cotton Research & Promotion Program," said Jay Tomasello, director of information technology at the Cotton Board. "Trumba Connect makes it easier for us to deliver on this mission by enabling our users to find cotton industry event information in a more efficient and effective manner."

Trumba Connect provides the Cotton Board with a solution that is easy to integrate and reduces the overall implementation and development costs of their web site redesign project. In addition, the Cotton Board uses Trumba Connect's event submission feature to allow outside organizations to post events to its calendar.

"Organizations like the Cotton Board need a flexible solution that is easy to implement. Trumba Connect is helping them turn their event calendar into a communication vehicle to better connect and communicate with industry organizations," said Jeremy Jaech, CEO of Trumba. "Cotton buyers, producers or growers who visit the Cotton Board's web site can now easily find relevant event information throughout the year."

The Cotton Board's calendar of industry events can be found at www.cottonboard.org.
