Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc. announces USDA approval for the first and only single-dose 7-way blackleg/pinkeye vaccine, Alpha-7/MB(TM)-1. Alpha-7/MB-1 protects cattle against seven major Clostridia diseases and Moraxella bovis (pinkeye). A companion product, Ocu-guard(R) MB-1, a single-dose pinkeye vaccine, has also received USDA approval.

Both vaccines are approved for subcutaneous (SubQ) administration and meet all Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) guidelines.

"These single-dose vaccines represent additional forward strides in our ongoing commitment to make disease management as convenient and efficacious as possible for livestock producers," says Judy Myers, marketing manager of the cattle division at Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. "A single dose administration saves time, is easier on cattle and, now, provides the efficacy needed in a sound herd health program."
