Valent U.S.A. Corporation announced the launch of Intego Suite System for soybeans. The Intego Suite System contains the first new, novel seed protection fungicide chemistry registered in 30 years by the Environmental Protection Agency for protection against Pythium and Phytophthora.
The Intego Suite System contains dual modes of action that create a complete zone of protection around the seedling, above and below ground, to protect against a wider spectrum of Pythium and Phytophthora species. The Intego Suite System is proven to deliver a yield increase of 1.5 bushels per acre in soybeans above the standard, as demonstrated in independent university and contract research field trials. The Intego Suite System also delivers broad spectrum insect protection.
“The Intego Suite System is a breakthrough seed treatment solution, offering much-needed seed and seedling protection against Pythium and Phytophthora pathogens,” said Todd Mayhew, seed protection product development manager for Valent. “Pythium and Phytophthora pathogens attack very rapidly after planting, so the seed needs a secure line of defense. The zone of protection created by the Intego Suite System protects the entire plant and provides better protection across many species of Pythium and Phytophthora, resulting in higher yields.”
“The addition of the Intego Suite System to the seed protection portfolio of products from Valent ensures that we are offering growers the best possible chance for a healthier and more profitable crop,” said Trey Soud, seed protection business manager for Valent. “We feel that Intego will be a game-changing product in the seed protection fungicide business, solidifying our commitment to provide the absolute best solutions for our customers.”
The Intego Suite System joins a growing portfolio of seed protection products offered by Valent, including Inovate Seed Protectant for soybeans, NipsIt Inside insecticide, Metlock fungicide and the NipsIt Suite products across cereals, sugar beets, rice and other crops.
