Global agriculture firm H.J. Baker & Bro., Inc., announced it has established an Innovation Lab to identify market opportunities across all business areas; feed, fertilizer and sulphur.
Louis Angerame was named director of the Innovation Lab. Angerame has been at H.J. Baker for seven years, most recently as the Manager of Information Technology where he developed solutions to complex challenges faced by a growing international company.
Previously he was with GCommerce, a high-tech procurement solutions firm, based in Des Moines, Iowa. Angerame is a graduate of St. John's University in New York, New York.
Christopher V.B. Smith, president and CEO of H.J. Baker & Bro., Inc. commented: "The agriculture industry is constantly evolving. In order to maintain our leadership within the industry we must ensure we are constantly looking for what will make our industry more efficient and effective to better serve the global community."
Smith continued: "Louis brings entrepreneurial skill, technological expertise and a passion for innovation to the company. He has integrated these values into growing our IT department, so it was natural for him to lead the Innovation Lab.

Replacing Angerame as Manager of IT will be Mike Forbes. Forbes has been working as IT Technician for five years. He has a Bachelor's degree in Business Computer Information Systems from Hofstra University and resides in Stamford, Connecticut. He previously worked for Andersen Consulting and CNBC.
The Innovation Lab will be based in H.J. Baker's Westport, Conn., headquarters.
