Grassland Oregon announced the opening of a new research location in southeast Iowa. The primary focus of this location will be for screening and evaluation of new cover crop, turfgrass, and forage species and varieties. This location will complement and advance research efforts the company currently conducts in Oregon. The new location will also serve as an educational resource for the company’s customers and collaborators.

”As we looked at our distribution and what is happening with cover crops, it was obvious that we needed to have a strategically located facility to advance our plant breeding efforts and to promote the varieties that we and our global partners have developed.” stated Jerry Hall, President of Grassland Oregon.

“The opening of this location reaffirms our commitment to our distributors in providing them with the best genetics the world has to offer. It is our intention for this facility to also serve as a training and educational resource for our distributors and their sales staff. We are excited about the opportunity to involve our distributors earlier in the varietal development process.”
