Galcon, a leading manufacturer of computerized irrigation controllers and systems for use in home gardens, agriculture and landscaping, has announced the nationwide rollout of its irrigation controllers under its own brand in the United States.

Galcon’s controllers have been sold in the U.S. for more than 20 years through the DIG brand,. The introduction of Galcon’s products, under its own brand in the U.S., supports a larger expansion plan, set to position Galcon’s irrigation products head-to-head with the leading manufacturers in the American market, explained the company.

As part of this change, Galcon has established Galcon USA, a wholly owned and operated subsidiary, and has appointed Roy Levinson as the managing director of the new entity. Levinson previously held a senior position at Rain Bird Services Corporation. Galcon USA will be based on the west coast, and will have distribution channels throughout the U.S for the DIY, professional landscaping and agriculture markets.

“For over 30 years, Galcon has successfully marketed its brand name products in over 40 countries worldwide. We look forward to introducing the Galcon brand to the U.S. market and to offer our international marketing experience together with Galcon’s superior products to U.S. customers,”  said Sagi Rubin, CEO of Galcon.

The parent company of Galcon was established in 1983 and is headquartered in Kfar Blum, Israel, and is owned by Kibbutz Kfar Blum and the Whitewater Group, a private global company investing in cutting-edge Israeli water technologies in the fields of water management, quality and security.
