The Emerging Technologies Session at the 2012 National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants annual meeting in Reno, Nev., still has availability for additional presenters to provide information about their latest technology.
All NAICC sustaining and voting members and Ag Pro EXPO exhibitors are invited to submit a presentation that fits the session title of emerging technologies. The session will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. as part of the Jan. 18-21 NAICC annual meeting at the Peppermill Resort in Reno.
There is a selection process for what technologies can be presented, but the minimal requirement is that the technology is new to the company presenting and the technology has not previously been presented at the NAICC meeting. The original deadline for commitment to present is being extended until Mon., Nov. 28.
“Presenters have the opportunity to give a brief, energizing synopsis of a product or technology to a full crowd of professional ag consultants and industry representatives. Past topics have included new crop protection products under development, new uses of current chemistries, new equipment and software. If it is new, our members want to hear about it,” noted Allison Jones, executive vice president of the NAICC.
Each NAICC sustaining or voting member is eligible to submit one request and present at no charge, if selected as appropriate. A $500 fee is charged for each additional submission accepted. The same cost will be incurred by non-members.
A 100-word or less abstract describing the new emerging technology must be submitted immediately. The Allied Industry Committee will review all submissions and determine the final oral presentations that qualify. Presentations will be limited to approximately 5 minutes and 5 illustrating slides.
Phone 901-861-0511 and/or fax 901-861-0512 or e-mail JonesNAICC@aol.com immediately to be provided the submission form and additional details.
