Better fertilizing addressed in developing nations
The contention is that farmers around the world will have to increase their food and feed production in economically sound ways in the coming years to keep pace with the world population growth. One of the most logical and simplest improvements in crop yield usually occurs with the improved use of fertilizers.
According to agronomists looking at developing nations, the unsophisticated use of fertilizers must be addressed, and one company doing business in one way or another in 125 nations, many of them developing economies, is Arysta LifeScience. When a company of $1.6 billion revenue announces it is distributing a more sophisticated fertilizer to a country like Pakistan, then it is worth note because improved fertilization is obviously being addressed in developing nations, one at a time.
Arysta LifeScience announced it has introduced a new soluble foliar fertilizer, Krystafeed (water-soluble nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium), in Pakistan. A product of Tarrazona, Spain, Krystafeed is available in two formulations—20.20.20+trace elements and 15.05.40+trace elements. Krystafeed is initially being marketed for use in vegetables and also in cotton. And cotton is one of the most important crops in Pakistan, contributing significantly to the country’s economy.
“Growers in Pakistan are increasingly interested in high-quality products like Krystafeed that fulfil the nutritional requirements of their crops and optimize performance,” said Aamir Majeed, marketing manager, Arysta LifeScience Pakistan.
The advantage that immediately interests farmers about the foliar fertilizer is that treated crops are visibly greener and healthier, and the payoff is higher yields compared to crops not treated.
Arysta LifeScience Pakistan is aiming to reach 200 metric tonnes in sales of Krystafeed within the next two to three years. The company also plans to expand the use of Krystafeed to other crops and orchards.
