AgGateway’s Seed Connectivity-II (SC-II) Project deadline for signing a commitment letter has been extended until Jan. 16, 2012.

As of December 15th, the following companies had signed their SC-II Project Commitment Letter:

Ceres Solutions

Crop Data Management Systems (CDMS)

Crop Production Services

Dow AgroSciences

Heartland Cooperative

Key Cooperative

Monsanto Company

River Valley Cooperative

“The SC-II (2nd implementation) Project’s purpose is to further streamline the seed supply chain by implementing industry defined business processes, functions and electronically connecting using an industry standard set of messaging tools and web services with additional companies that did not participate or complete the original SC project,” AgGateway has explained in all its communications.

The original SC Project was a two‐year project from the summer of 2009 with four seed companies/distributors and four suppliers/manufacturers, which included electronic transmission of ship notifications, invoices and sales reporting transactions. The original SC project established implementation standards and e‐tools for connectivity. The interest in a seed connectivity project began as distributors and manufacturers in a crop protection project wanted the same benefits in other ag sectors.

If other companies plan to participate in SC-II, they have to execute the project commitment letter and return it to Marilyn Hunter by January 16, 2012. Extensive information about this project are available via links below:
