Winter soil testing, research aid spinach seed growers

Soil from area growers is being tested through mid-February at Washington State University Mount Vernon to determine field suitability for planting spinach seed in spring. Meanwhile, related spinach disease research recently was accepted for publication.


NDSU schedules getting it right soybean meetings

Soybean producers interested in intensive soybean management should plan to attend one of four Getting it Right in Soybean Production meetings scheduled for Streeter, Underwood, Minot and Newburg in North Dakota. At the meetings, North Dakota State University Extension Service faculty and staff will discuss past soybean research conducted in North Dakota and the outlook and production issues for 2015.
