Eurofins AgroScience Services moving and expanding

Eurofins AgroScience Services (EAS), which has been an exhibitor at the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants convention for several years and works with global crop protection companies, announced it is relocating its U.S. Pesticide Residue Laboratory operation from East Brunswick, N.J. to Lancaster, Penn.

The new facility will be at full operational mode as of Sept. 8, according to the company.

Currency moves to tag-team El Niño in Asia rice markets

Market wisdom is that Asian rice prices are set to rally as El Nino cuts output and bulging stockpiles are steadily eroded. There's nothing wrong with this view, but as is often the case there are some offsetting factors that make a strong rally far from a sure thing, as can be seen by recent price movements in the grain, the staple for some two-thirds of the world's population.

Goss’ wilt marches east in Indiana

Goss’s wilt of corn, caused by the bacterium Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. nebraskensis, has been confirmed in several fields in northeast Indiana in 2015, making these the most eastern confirmations of the disease in the state to date. The disease has also been detected in northwest Indiana this year.
