UF/IFAS researchers help launch olive industry in Florida

Florida farmers formed the Florida Olive Council 10 years ago to promote olive crops in the state. Currently, there are 300 acres of olive trees in the state managed by approximately 50 growers, said Florida Olive Council President Michael O’Hara Garcia.
