James C. Collins Jr., executive vice president with DuPont, will discuss the DuPont-Dow merger, strategic developments and current trends in agriculture. He will keynote the opening general session on Nov. 29.

Collins is responsible for the DuPont Agriculture segment: DuPont Pioneer and Crop Protection. After completing the proposed merger of equals between DuPont and Dow, he will be the chief operating officer for the DowDuPont agriculture business.

He joined DuPont as an engineer in 1984 in DuPont Manufacturing. He held positions in engineering, supervision and business management at many plant sites. From 2004 to 2010, Collins was responsible for DuPont Crop Protection first as vice president and general manager and then as president. In January 2011, he was named president of the newly formed DuPont Industrial Biosciences. In September 2013, he assumed responsibility for the Performance Materials segment and also served as senior vice president. He was named executive vice president in December 2014 and in July 2015 added responsibility for the Electronics & Communications segment. His current role as Ag Segment leader started in January 2016.
